Open-Air Movie Nights in Nicosia This August

Summer cinema continues in Nicosia this August, with several venues offering open-air screenings of independent films, Hollywood blockbusters and family-friendly movies.

The 27th Constantia Summer Film Marathon is taking place at the Constantia Open Air Cinema every Wednesday to Sunday until 13 September, with screenings starting at 9 p.m. Tickets cost €5, or €55 for a season pass. Upcoming films include Who Killed Lady Winsley? on 12 August and It Was Just an Accident on 13 August.

At Nicosia Mall, Rio Cinema is screening films throughout August, including Spiderman: Brand New Day, Moana, The Odyssey and Toy Story 5. Some animated films are available both in Greek dubbing and in their original English version.

For a free evening under the stars, the Faneromeni26 Arts Festival will host a screening of Tim Burton’s Dumbo on 27 August at 8 p.m., in the courtyard of the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation. Entrance is free.
