Compass Guide

Purpose

This guide will define categories and tags to help you understand the Community Compass and how to best find the information you need.

Categories

Categories are used to organize posts into groups that can be displayed together and easily accessed. Categories can have ‘parents’, under which they fall on menus or in displays. ‘Parent’ menus and pages display all of the ‘parent’ items and all if its ‘children’ items. ‘Children’ menus and pages display only their items.
