Compass Guide
Purpose
This guide will define categories and tags to help you understand the Community Compass and how to best find the information you need.
Categories
Categories are used to organize posts into groups that can be displayed together and easily accessed. Below are explanations for those that are a bit confusing. If you choose a category from the ‘Main Menu’ on the home page, the drop down menu on the ‘Compass Guide’ page, or by clicking directly on a category in a post, all posts in that category will be displayed. When you choose a ‘parent’ category, all posts in that category and it’s ‘children’ categories will be displayed.

Tags
We use tags to identify posts that only apply to specific groups or are only taking place in specific locations. For example:
- Asylum seekers (only applicable to asylum seekers)
- International Protection Holders (only applicable to international protection holders)
- Nicosia (only available in Nicosia)
Like categories, if you click on a tag, all posts with that tag will be displayed.
