Don’t Check for Cheques

Material Reception Conditions for asylum seekers will no longer be paid by cheque. A new system of cash cards issued by Eurobank has been developed and implemented gradually. 

You will be able to use the cash card to collect cash from the Eurobank ATM machines or to pay for shopping. 

You will not be able to use the card for online purchases and some other transactions (details are not available yet).

Your social worker will call you to collect your cash card when it is issued by the bank; until then you will still be receiving your benefits by cheque.
