Interested in Studying in Cyprus but Worried About Tuition Fees?
If you are a Recognized Refugee, Subsidiary Protection Holder, or Temporary Protection Holder (such as a Ukrainian citizen under the Temporary Protection Scheme) and dream of studying in Cyprus but can’t afford university tuition, there may be future opportunities to help.
The Cyprus Refugee Council is currently collecting expressions of interest from individuals in these categories who would like to pursue university studies. This is not a scholarship application—instead, it’s a first step that will help identify how many people are interested and inform future scholarship or support programs.
By sharing your interest, you can help shape potential education opportunities for protection holders across Cyprus.
Who can fill out the form?
- Recognized Refugees
- Subsidiary Protection Holders
- Temporary Protection Holders (e.g., Ukrainians)
Why fill it out?
- To express your desire to study at a university in Cyprus

My name is Mustafa Ahmed Yousif Awad, a graduate of Sudan International University, Faculty of Electrical Engineering – Control Systems specialization. I aspire to pursue a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering – Control Systems at a university in order to enhance my skills and advance my knowledge in this vital field.
Despite my strong desire and commitment to continue my education, I am currently facing significant challenges related to tuition fees, which remain the main obstacle preventing me from enrolling in postgraduate studies. As a refugee in Cyprus, my financial situation poses serious limitations on my ability to afford higher education, even though I possess the dedication and ambition to succeed academically.
I sincerely hope that these challenges are taken into account when considering the academic needs and aspirations of refugees seeking to improve their lives through higher education.
