New Workshop – Dance, Connection, and Empowerment for Youth in Cyprus

Caritas Cyprus is excited to introduce Unwired Legs, a dynamic workshop series designed to build community and foster inclusion among marginalized youth. Through the universal language of movement and dance, participants—both local and migrant—are invited to explore personal expression, develop confidence, and strengthen connections in a safe and empowering space.

Classes incorporate Hip Hop, House, Contemporary, and Afro dance styles, guided by YEU Volunteers. Beyond learning choreography, participants engage in non-formal education, exploring topics such as gender equality, civil rights, and personal boundaries, all while discovering and embracing each other’s cultural roots.

Inspired by the Hip Hop principle of “Each One Teach One,” Unwired Legs encourages mutual understanding, social growth, and a sense of belonging. By participating regularly, youth not only improve their dance skills but also build trust, confidence, and wellbeing through movement.

Unwired Legs is more than just dance—it’s a space for empowerment, dialogue, and connection, nurturing the next generation of confident, socially aware, and engaged young people in Cyprus.
