New Opening Hours for STOA: Open Every Afternoon, 3-5pm!

Beginning in February, the Caritas STOA Humanitarian Point will be open every afternoon from 3pm to 5pm. Across from the Paphos Gate and in the alley behind the local butcher shop, the STOA is where you pick up packages, documents and other items after you receive a text message.

Did you know that a STOA has always been a place where people gather? In ancient Greece, commerce took place in covered stoas lined with columns. In Biblical times, the “stoa” was where people met to teach, learn and discuss. In Nicosia, stoas contain shops and common spaces in which people interact. Caritas Cyprus’ STOA continues this tradition of interaction!
